Jose Luis Vasquez

Joseph,

Jose Luis Vasquez de Frias is the gentleman I tried to contact to see if he would be willing to interview for your podcast series. He wrote a book, ''Geneaologia de Nochistlan''. I tried making contact with him via expired e-mail addresses and was un-successful on all attempts.

Well here I go getting nosey. . .what are you contacting him for? Well
forget that question. If you do get ahold of him maybe you can mention
to him that I would like to invite him to visit the
http://NuestraFamiliaUnida.com podcast. Maybe he would consider working
on a submission to the project.

thanks Charles,

joseph

Hello Charles,

If you make contact with Jose Luis Vasquez via this address, could you please let us know if you did, as I had tried to contact him through various old e-mail addresses he had posted on roots-web and all of them were invalid.

Thanks, Alicia Carrillo de San Jose, Ca

I believe it refers to a secondary degree, bachiller. For example, see http://
www.musicologiavenezolana.com/bperezr/cuerpo4.htm

I have see this designation often in old records from Mesquitic area.

Need help with title.

Thank you  Ed for your response to my
question about the meaning of "Br."  Other members of the group have also
come up with the answer, Bachiller.

Thanks to all of you.

Gonzalez from Jerez, Zacatecas, WAS Re: [ranchos] Br. Abbreviation.

Dear John,

(I've always wondered what it felt like to write that!:P) My Cenobio was born in Jerez around 1846, and I don't know if he was an only child or youngest or middle or oldest son. I found matrimonial information pertaining to his first marriage in 1864. His first wife was Eleuteria Tovar and she was 15 to his 18 years. They had the following children: Josepha, Candelaria, Jesus, and Herlindo (1878).

My great-grandmother, Francisca Saldivar, was his second wife. With her, he had Paula (1883), Matteo, Jose (1899), Juan, Altagracia (1894), Sarah, and Francisco. Hope we can connect somehow. Marge:)

I got started with the family tree
about 5 months ago, not knowing anything at all about findings roots

happened to run into the Ranchos web site.  I noticed that the area of
research being done by the group was mainly in Los Altos and

started, and that was that my grandfather was
from Jalisco and that he had been born in 1875.

I went to visit a cousin, who is
80 plus years old,  to see if I could get him to tell me something
about the family. I found out that the family was from Jalostotitlan,
