Hello right back to you also!!  I just posted a reply to Angie
on the mesage board.   There are many other names that are in her files
that I also have in mine.  I have not put them all into a genealogy
report form as

Castañeda, de la Torre, Luna, and Ulloa from Tlaltenango

I'm a Castaneda, Miramontes, Rodriguez (mostlikely) and Diaz from
Tlaltenango. . .unfortuneately I don't have a lot of info and trying to
make those connections with the 4 of yall might be somewhere down the
road as in months or even years. But I just wanted you all to know that
I might easily be your primo as well. . .might I suggest you make me an
"HP" in the mean time (honorary primo) and if we find the connection
we'll delete the "H" or if we find proof of "no relation" then we'll
remove both the "H" and the "P"? what do you all think, primas?

joseph

ps: of don't forget that Helyn Sparkman de Castaneda is also a Castaneda
from Tlaltenango, but we haven't be able to make that connection either.
And Steven Hernandez is a Miramontes from Tlaltenango. Isn't life grand?

Angie, Carol and Rosalinda:

I am researching the same surnames from Zacatecaz. I have some
direct line ancestors that might tie in to yours somehow. One
couple: Manuel Castañeda married to Maria Antonia de la Torre on 16
Nov 1738 in Tlaltenango de Sánchez Román. Manuel was the son of
Pedro Castañeda and María Ulloa. I also have Pedro Castañeda (son of
Manuel) married to María Gertrudis Luna on 13 Jul 1765 in
Tepechitlán, Zacatecaz. I have documented 9 children from the
marriage of Manuel Castañeda and

Campos/Soto Family

Good Morning!

Thank you for for e-mail!  To tell you the truth, "Soto" is a surname I have not really researched as yet.  I do know my 5th generation grandfather was Juan De Campos Soto...so his mother was a "Soto". This is in my direct line, and she would be my sixth generation grandmother!  I definately will be researching this line more!

Hi!   I am doing research on the Soto line out of Tamaulipas in the mid 1800s........does any of this sound familiar?  That is as far as I have gotten on this line but I need to get busy and dig some more.  Did any of your Soto ancestors come from Tamaulipas?

Thanks!

I was reading your files tonight and came across many
other surnames we share, and will need to cross check
to see if they connect somewhere:

Besides Campos and Castaneda: De La Torre(s); De Luna;
Magallanes; Miromontes; Robles; Sanchez;Ulloa;
Valensuela.

I think there are others too, but I want to go back
through my records to make sure what they are. Also,
they are from the same areas as your ancestors, and
same time period. Will get back with you when i have
done some more research. We absolutely connect!!

Carol
