Any assistance on places to check on this would be greatly appreciated.
It is interesting to note that there is extensive information on line showing that his wife Mariana Gomez de Portugal is a direct descendant of King Manual the 1st of Portugal, although illegitimate.

First off I would like to thank you for looking into this for me.
Looking at the birth records for the the 3 boys Antonio, Diego and Juan, Who were born to Miguel Munoz and Mariana Gomez. There is no reference of the Rubio name attached to Miguel. However the baptism record for child of Diego and Josepha is in the right time period. Diego's parents were listed as Miguel Munoz and Mariana Gomez in his baptism, so I don't think Rubio is part of this family, or at least I have not been able to confirm yet. The search continues .
