Alvarez, Soto and Mota files

Irma,
Check out our ranchos files.  We have 34
Alvares/Albares, 59 Mota and 1 Soto in our files.  Our one Soto is married
to a Campos.  The Alvares and Mota lines should be in their own
files.   We also have 3 Gomes names, but the are in Lagos de Moreno,
Jal. area, and there aren't too many Ranchos members in that
area.

Mis cinco centavos:  Although I haven't made
connections, (I have Alvarez, Soto & Mota),  I appreciate hearing
about these lines.  Hopefully, I will eventually make a connection as
I hear more.  Maria making a connection is a perfect example.
Please don't taken these into private emails.
Irma

this is open for discussion:

The idea was brought up about
suggesting that specific discussion about particular details of genealogy ties
be taken to private email after the inital flow of communication since it would
not be revelent to most members of the group. Hmmm . . .

Well first off
it seems to me that in the recent upsurge of discussion "provoked" by Carol
Lester (con carino) Maria Cortez might have been "forgotten" for possibly awhile
if that thread had been quickly taken to private email. I really don't like

Title: Re: [ranchos] Open For Discussion/Limiting Specific Discussion

Joseph,

I was hoping someone else would say this since I am new to this group. I am happy these people are communicating and moving on in their genealogy quest but I do not need to know about any of the details. Private email is the obvious solution and it is not clear to me why these people are not making use of it.

Respectfully,

Ed

Felipe Neri is a compound or composite name that I've encountered
frequently on my IGI searches. I believe as some of you have
explained that it goes after the saint Felipe de Neri.

However, Neri by itself is also a surname, like Rodolfo Neri Vela,
the first mexican astronaut.
