thanks for the URL,
Joseph, I found an interesting link describing some cities in south Zacatecas. Members of our group may have family there or may wish to travel there. See http://www.mexicofile.com/southofzacatecas.htm Ed South of Zacatecas a fascinating archaeological site, a colonial gem, and a scenic route to Guadalajara by Tony Burton Tony Burton, an author, educator and travel consultant, moved to Canada in 1997 after working 18 years in Mexico. I'm "tracking" my Gutierrez family in Jalisco and found they come from Chilchota Michoacan, late 1775's, where there are many Alvares del Castillo families who immigrate to Jalisco along with Morfin, Valencia and my Gutierrez. So for those of you who are looking for more Alvares del Castillo you might want to check out Chilchota Michoacan during that time period. Chilchota is very near Zamora Michoacan. Linda in Everett
Interesting last name. --- Joseph Puenteswrote: > > is anyone studying this surname: > > Guadarrama > > if so contact me > > joseph > > > > __________________________________ Yahoo! Hey, Joseph, I think I know now what was wrong on my new computer before. It seems there are a lot of things in it that are hiding, such as Windows Media Player 10. When I clicked on the MP3 listed on your last message about maps, a window popped up saying Welcome to Windows Media Player 10 and it led me to other pop ups to configure it. Before, when I tried to view videos, nothing would happen. I was then able to download that map of Jalisco you had sent earlier, and I saved it somewhere. I tried to print it, but nothing happened. Is it possible to print it? Or can one only save it to view on the computer? I guess copyrights would prevent printing it out? Thanks, Emilie Garcia Port Orchard, WA ---
