Good evening! Was someone researching the "Bergara" line in Tlaltenango de Sanchez Roman, Zacatecas??? Peggy Delgado
Hello Steven, Unfortunately, I don't have any of the films you need. My Jalostotitlan ancestry dates much farther back. Good luck on your research and please share your findings with the Ranchos group. Alicia: I can't seem to figure out where the profiles section is. Can you be a little more explicit as to how to go about changing this? Joseph: How much storage space are you using now with all of the Ranchos groups and briefcase combined? How many members are there? Is anybody storing anything more sophisticated than their GEDCOM data that they are then transmitting in various formats (Word, PDF, etc.) Check out my family website (I will send you the link in an email) and see if you think this might be a possible alternative, where people could upload their GEDCOM files (minus living individuals) and we can simply restrict access completely to members. In addition, we could use the bulletin board there in lieu of this group and people can sign up for more specific areas of interest to receive email notification, i.e. by specific geography or topic of posting, etc. We could probably host a site like this for $10-$20 a month if the database is not too big. --- In

Hi Irma: Possibly the reason you didn't find a connection to a my "Cornejo" might be becuase my grandmother wasn't from Jalos, she was from San Juan de Los Lagos. I just found that out last friday, talking to my cousin who lives in Yucaipa. John Gonzalez Wildomar, CA

Hi John & Ranchos Group,
Lets start another Fiesta ...... My dad makes the best
carnitas! I see a connection already, but on the Gtz
side. Pedro Gtz' parents were Florentino de San Miguel Gtz & Maria Francisca Romo (who ties into the Romos of Santa Ana). Your Pedro Gtz was brother to my GG Grandfather
Dionicio Gtz. You have another prima in Ranchos, but I'll let her introduce herself. I also have a
connection via Antonia Franco. I'll email you privately with the rest, and spare the rest. I have
a little on your Gonz., Maybe if I give you a little more info, we'll figure them out too. Irma

Thank you for the information, but I don't
see any connections yet...Maybe later as I keep finding more relatives. Let me give you a quick run |
Somewhat, Connie, I think we had determined that we MIGHT be related but not sure.
My Cenobio was born in 1846 in Jerez. His parents were Prudencio Gonzalez and Severiana Salcedo. Cenobio's first wife was Ma. Eleuteria Tobar born in 1849 in Jerez (I think, her siblings were born in Tlatenango de Sanchez Roman). Her parents were Mauricio Tobar and Ma. Petra Escobedo Sandobal. They were from Tlatenango originally. Cenobio and Eleuteria had 3 children that I know of--Josefa, Candelaria, and Jesus Gonzalez. Cenobio was widowed around 1878 or 79.
I don't know when my great-grandparents married--I do know that he was a LOT older than his second wife--he and his first wife had kids that were the age of his second wife and her siblings. Anyway, he married Ma. Francisca Saldivar and had Paula, Ma. Altagracia, Matteo, Francisco, Juan, Sarah, and Jose. That's the scoop so far. I have details on Eleuteria's siblings...such as their names. Marge:)

Your uncle probably knows many of my relatives, since
some of the Duartes were married to the Puentes and
Romans of Jerez. Also, I hope to meet your uncle some
day.
