Trying to fully understand and find what Diaz de Leon branch I come from.
My grandfather was Ismael Diaz de Leon. He was born in El Paso, Tx on 1926. His father was Donaciano Diaz de Leon and mother was Maria Diaz de Leon Romo.
Donaciano and his family lived in Aguascalientes for many yrs and moved to El Paso, Tx where he worked on the trains and railroads until he fell ill.
He moved his family back to Aguascalientes and died soon after, I would guess he died around around 1928 or 29 (at a relatively yound age mid 30s) because my grandfather was 2+ yrs old when he passed.
Grandfather (Ismael) married Sara Fernandez in Aguascalientes and eventually made his way back to El Paso in the mid to late 50's and started his family.
Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

This is what I was able to find using the Zacatecas, Aguascalientes pilot. Use of actual church baptism documents was extremely helpful. I found it interesting that most all documents listed the family as Diaz and not Diaz de Leon. Any reason for that?

Cannot locate the baptism document for Quirino Diaz. I found church marriage document for Quirino Diaz (1826) which confirmed Jose Antonio Diaz as his father. However, I found two Jose Antonio Diaz in Aguascalientes. One was born in 1780 to Tomas Diaz and the other was born in 1785 to Vicente Diaz.
Trying to confirm father and grandfather via use of church baptism certificate or any other means to continue search.

Well, I just found out that neither Tomas Diaz nor Vicente Diaz was the father of my Jose Antonio Diaz.
I found the church marriage cert. in Asientos, Aguas. for Apr 30, 1800. He was married under the name Jose Antonio Diaz de Leon and Maria Gregoria Numaranda (espanols) from the Jurisdiction of Real de Cienna de Pinos in Matansillas.
His parents are Don Jose Miguel Diaz and Dona Marzela Bernal (espanol).
Her parents are Jose Miguel Numaranda and Maria Antonia Games (espanol).
Believe I will find both Quirino Diaz, Jose Antonio Diaz and Jose Miguel Diaz baptism certs. in Matansillas.

My diaz de leon came from aguascalientes before moving to zacatecas and then to Jalos.

After much research, I've come to find that the information above is incorrect.
My Great Grandfather Donaciano Diaz de Leon was also born in 1893 but he was born in La Montesa, Zac. His father's name was Rodrigo Diaz de Leon and his mother was Filiberta Gonzalez both also from La Montesa, Zac.
If your great grandfather was named Donaciao Diaz born in Aguas in 1893, then you are welcome as the lineage is accurate just not of my line.

Congratulations Alex on finding the correct lineage. I also have Diaz de Leon in my ancestral lines. I descend from one of Andres Diaz de Leon’s brothers. I heavily studied your branch before Manny informed me that I descend from his brother. Manny’s research into this line has been very rewarding.
